Center for Intercultural Organizing: Andrew Riley, Eline Leemans    Andrew Riley is the Public Policy Director at the Center for Intercultural Organizing, a Portland-based organization working to create a multiracial, multiethnic movement for immigrant & refugee rights. His work focuses on political advocacy within Oregon’s legislature on immigrant & refugee issues, increasing the representation of immigrant & refugee communities in state government, and working to make Oregon more equitable at every level. Born in California to Belgian parents, Eline Leemans has been passionate about cultures and human rights from a young age. She currently attends Lewis & Clark College, in Portland, Oregon, where she studies sociology, anthropology, and art. Her work focuses on the exploration of social dynamics, on environmental justice, and on increasing representation for historically marginalized communities. The Center for Intercultural Organizing is a diverse, grassroots organization working to build a multi-racial, multicultural movement for immigrant and refugee rights. We focus on four program areas that together catalyze systemic change – education, civic engagement & policy advocacy, community organizing and mobilization, and intergenerational leadership development.
