Alex Valentine    Read the Dirt Intern: My name is Alex and I am currently a senior at Western Washington University studying English literature and environmental studies. I derive joy from indulging in a great read (or homemade cheesecake), taking leisurely bike rides, and contributing to a more educated and empowered community. I have been fortunate enough to study what I love, even managing to do so without saying goodbye to my beloved Northwestern home. In the coming weeks I will have the exciting opportunity to intern with Read the Dirt where I hope to apply my academic skills and contribute as a writer and editor in impactful and innovative ways.
