Francine St. Laurent    I am a senior at Western Washington University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in urban planning and environmental policy and a minor in journalism. I am excited to be a part of the ongoing dialogue surrounding environmental issues in the glorious Pacific Northwest and eager to further Read the Dirt‘s efforts. I was born and raised in North Pole, Alaska and am most at home in the woods or surrounded by tundra and snowy peaks where I can take deep breaths of mountain air.
