Robert McClure, Investigate West    (As stated on www.invw.org): Robert is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Investigate West. Robert spent a decade at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as an environmental reporter with a special emphasis on investigative and other in-depth coverage, anchoring projects that explored a major weakness in the Endangered Species Act and exposed serious deficiencies in efforts to restore Puget Sound and Seattle's Duwamish River. Robert's reporting on how the 1872 Mining Law allows hard-rock mining in the West today won the John B. Oakes Award for Distinguished Environmental Journalism. A Pulitzer Prize finalist, he previously held editorial positions at the South Florida Sun Sentinel and United Press International. He currently serves on the board of the Society of Environmental Journalists. Robert has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and economics from the University of Florida.
