Thurston Public Power Initiative, John D. Pearce    John D. Pearce is a 15-year resident of Thurston County, Washington who works internationally as a consultant, writer, and facilitator. He is one of the founding members and the Chair of Thurston Public Power Initiative. John remains actively involved in the effort to make public power a reality in Thurston County. Thurston Public Power Initiative is a grassroots organization created to gather signatures to qualify to place a proposition on the 2012 ballot allowing the citizens of Thurston County, Washington to vote on whether the Public Utility District should be authorized to become an electric utility and then to advocate for a Yes vote.
