Washington Association of Conservation Districts: Craig Nelson    The Washington Association of Conservation Districts is a non-profit organization representing Washington State's 47 Conservation Districts, whose mission is to advance the purposes of Conservation Districts and their constituents by providing leadership, information and representation. Specific goals of WACD are accomplished through legislative activities, capacity building, and the work of numerous standing issue committees and task forces. Craig Nelson has served as the District Manager of the Okanogan Conservation District since December, 1996. He has a BA in Geography with a minor in Environmental Studies and has been in this role since December, 1996. He is also a 2006 graduate of the Washington Agriculture and Forestry Leadership Foundation Leadership Development Program. In his position as the District Manager of the Okanogan Conservation District, he coordinated the development of the Okanogan Watershed Water Quality Management Plan, facilitated and coordinated the Okanogan Watershed Plan under RCW 90.82, and oversees all District programs and project staff.
