WSDA Pest Management The mission of the WSDA pest program is “to protect the state's resources by preventing the establishment of high-risk insects, weeds, and plant diseases. The WSDA staff conducts surveys and inspections, enforces agricultural quarantines, provides laboratory diagnostic services, and carries out projects to eradicate such pests as Spartina, gypsy moth, and Japanese beetle.”
