We recognize the irony of an incomplete dirt section in a publication devoted to reading the dirt. We acknowledge this fact, but think it is important that we launch readthedirt.org to get the ball rolling. In this section we look forward to reading various perspectives on the agricultural sector in the region, the food that comes from the dirt and the many approaches to connecting those who eat food with the dirt from which it grows.
