PROTECT ONLINE FREEDOM—READ THE DIRT DEPENDS ON IT!

Read The Dirt along with countless other online publications, information networks, and outlets for human expression depend on the freedom of the Internet. This freedom is being threatened. We post these words on Read The Dirt to protest SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), PIPA (Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011) and any other future efforts to censor the Web. See below for more information on how these acts, if passed by Congress, will threaten our freedom:
