Information and Documents concerning Oregon LNG

Editor’s Note: We are privileged to be in close contact with Susan Jane Brown, a staff attorney with the Western Environmental Law Center. Brown is a key player in the fight to stop liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports/imports and pipelines in Oregon and the Northwest. She has been working closely with local private property owners apposing a proposed export/import terminal in Coos Bay, Oregon and its associated pipeline. Below are documents sent to us from Brown. Included are detailed letters from Susan Jane sent to concerned property owners dating back to September 2010, the terminal’s application (3/23/12) to export gas to non-Free Trade Agreement countries, the recent (4/16/12) Federal Energy Regulatory Commission decision to vacate “an order authorizing Jordan Cove Energy Project, L.P. to site, construct and operate a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Coos County, Oregon, and the related Pacific Connector pipeline from the terminal to a point near the Oregon/California border”, and the associated Press Release sent out by Brown.
